We’ve now taken delivery of our new attic conversion. Actually it was here all along – we just didn’t know what it could look like.
More than an attic conversion, it is a real room and will be very comfortable for everything we plan to use it for:- a quiet room, a study room, a storage room and should do fine as an occasional bedroom even.

Thank you to the team of Dayo, Luke and Lyam. They’ve done a great job in putting the attic in with minimal disruption to the rest of the house. We love the cupboards and the big velux. It’s quite bright inside and doesn’t need a light for just about all the day.

Thanks for turning our unused attic space into a funky liveable area, it’s certainly added a lot of additional space (and no doubt value) to our terrace. The team did a great job with a minimal amount of disruption and completed it on time despite us requesting a few tweaks throughout the conversion. Dayo’s recommendation around the height and angle of the windows was great, it’s provided us with complete privacy from all the neighbours whilst allowing for fantastic views of the city and an immense amount of natural light. We can’t wait to use the space (and neither can the mother in law who’s already claimed it as her bedroom when she’s visiting).

We have had a job completed in February 2017 by MrAttic. We live in a 1927 Californian bungalow and weren’t sure what usable space we had. We had three quotes and chose Sam because he had the best design ideas and attention to detail. He thought about our needs, spent time to speak with us and was respectful and interested. We were combining the attic renovation with work to a bedroom below and he just thought of everything. We have done many renovations previously and this experience was, by far, the smoothest. We had a clear idea of timeframe and Sam stuck to it. The other tradespeople that worked with him communicated directly with him so the project management was incredibly smooth.

The team was careful about dust and disruption and minimized that wherever they could. We stayed at home throughout the build and it was absolutely fine to do that. We had complicated things by adding our own inclusions (such as reinstating a fireplace and exposing brick), Sam was able to cope with all that and liaised with other installers very well. We are extremely pleased with the result. Right down to the quality of the plastering and finishes. It came in on time and on budget, no surprises, niggles, or unexpected negotiations. Seriously, very impressed and would highly recommend them.

We had Mr Attic create a new bedroom in our (1881) terrace attic, lifting the roof, adding a full-width window, a skylight, under-eaves storage, and a fixed staircase. We absolutely love the finished result! We came into the job having investigated a number of attic companies, and with quite a bit of experience working with (good and bad) tradesmen behind us over the years, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to go with this company. They helped make our DA planning process simple; the project management was clearly structured, adhered to and communicated with us from start to finish; the work was on time and on budget with no unexpected surprises; they were reliable and responsive; they were personable and professional; the impact on us living in the house was minimal; they accommodated our requests very flexibly; they found great solutions where needed, showing their experience; they resolved existing age/design-related issues with our terrace with confidence; the quality of the work was exceptional.
